Application

Sealing with a mechanical seal of a vertical mixer (powder/solvent). Shaft diam. 265 mm, 128 RPM, 16 bar, 70°C.
 

Problem

The former sealing was a mechanical seal back to back with a limited capacity of axial and radial movements. In case of loss of pression of the seal fluids, the mechanical seal might let the solvent leak in the workshop.
 

Solution

The assembly of the mechanical seal 280 diam. 265 mm, full reverse pressure. This allows to keep the seal shut in case of loss of pressure. This mechanical seal also allows a wide axial (+/- 3 mm) and radial clearance.
 

Result

The mechanical seal is installed since 2008 and guarantees a perfect sealing against the risks of leak of a solvent.
