Application

This is a self-installing platform (M.O.A.B.). The platform was designed by Overdick and built by Keppel Verolme Rotterdam.

Problem

This offshore platform is for self-installation and must be easily movable. The number of floating cranes available is limited and they are booked several years in advance.

To achieve this, the platform must not be welded but assembled with bolted joints, for example. It can take several weeks to complete the welding of the whole platform.

Solution

The most simple and cost effective solution is to fix the platform with Superbolts.

We provide the complete assembly necessary to fix the platform on its pillars.

Result

A platform that is installed in a few days without using any floating crane.
